USA Today App: Review

When you hear of an official app being released to Windows Phone, you already have a preconceived image in your head that it will be an amazing app that delivers a great mobile experience. You especially expect that from big name companies that have the resources to pull it off. I expected this from the USA Today app when it first launched and I can finally say that it has fully delivered on every single level.
When looking at the USA Today app for Windows Phone, you can see and feel that the news app was 100% made for the WP7 OS from the ground up. It uses Metro UI perfectly in a balance of beauty, Style and function. Any news that USA today covers, I am confident that I will not only get the latest but attached to many articles are videos that help you get the full story. The app itself is pretty speedy and gets the job done.

You get all aspects of the news with this app – World news, Local, Sports Weather and it even has a social feel to it as it adds email, Text, Facebook and Twitter as ways to share with your friends and family. So that app isn’t only beautiful to look at but there’s alot to do and see within the app.
As far as shortcomings go, they are hard to find. The only thing that I think could make this application better is if it had Live tile functionality. You can get the app for a grand total of $0.00 in the WP7 marketplace and suggest you do so if you live anywhere in the states.
