Mango Released to Manufacturers and Carriers for Testing

July 22, 2011 No Comments

Awesome news for anyone waiting for the next generation of Windows Phones. According to the WindowsPhoneDev Podcast, Mango the next big update for Windows Phone 7 has been released to manufacturers.

That’s not even where the good news ends. They have also sent the update to carriers so that they may begin testing it on their network, hopefully making the release of the update come in a timely manner.

Many people who installed the developer release of Mango have expressed unhappiness with some of the issues encountered. Luckily the build that was sent out to manufacturers is 7710, the one released to developers was 7661. Hopefully that means that all the issues were fixed.

Let’s rejoice that everything seems to be on schedule for the Fall release of Mango. This is so exciting! I can’t wait!

Update: Microsoft says that Mango has not been RTM’d yet. If that is true then atleast we know that it should be very soon
