Pivot Controls: Android Steals from Windows Phone Again (video)

Does the fact that Android is open source mean that it can just take technology from other companies whenever the mood hits. Google has announced and shown off their new marketplace for Android recently. Not only does it look like a bad Metro UI layout but it blatantly takes Microsoft’s WP7 Pivot controls.

What do you guys think of this? I understand that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but I am not sure we have enough of the market yet to take that route.
