Still no Release Date for Audible App

July 12, 2011 2 Comments

One application that I know many WP7 users have been waiting on is Audible. Audible is most popular for being a source for audio books and is a subsidiary of Amazon. Back in November Paul Thurrott took it upon himself to find out when Audible would be compatible with Windows Phone 7 and the summarized respnse was:

Since this is the case, we are currently designing a new App for this phone and hope it will be available sooner than later.

Now, many months later WPCentral has an update on the situation:

“… our app developers are working on a WP7 app, but no date has been announced as of yet.”

Bummer huh? I wonder how long they will keep us waiting. Perhaps this is a great opportunity for someone to make a third party app.

I agree that it is about time for someone to make a third party app. I would pay for it as I lost the possibility of hearing my audiobooks. I’m using my Kindle to do that :S
