Microsoft Unveils New Mango Devices – Samsung SGH-i937 (Video)

July 12, 2011 No Comments

We have all been curious about the second generation of Windows Phones. We have waited patiently for Microsoft to give us any snippet of information pertaining to the new devices so that we could satisfy our curiousity, even if only for a moment.

Apparently the time has come and Microsoft has given us a glimpse of what some of the new generation of Windows Phone 7 will look like at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference.

The devices shown were an Acer, ZTE, a waterproof Fujitsu model and apparently the highlight of the phone showcase was the Samsung device. The Samsung SGH-i937 closely resembles the popular Samsung’s Galaxy S II for Android.

While as always I am elated to see new Windows Phone models I am a little disappointed that while the Samsung device will most likely be a popular model it is yet another device that is seemingly being recycled onto Windows Phone 7. I do know that with more success the OEM’s will be more willing to invest their time in developing exclusive and innovative devices but in the meantime I will wait and see what Nokia has in store. Since they have everything riding on their partnership we should be seeing something that no other OS has seen and that’s what Windows Phone needs.
