Samsung Working on Galaxy S II Clone for WP7 Mango?

July 4, 2011 2 Comments

With the Mango update only 3 or 4 months away, WP7 mango flavored devices are starting to leak on the Internet. They can’t all be as ‘primetime’ like Stephen Elop ‘leaking’ his own Nokia WP7 device the Sea Ray. HTC’s Eternity with a whopping 4.7 inch screen was leaked on the Internet recently on a German site. Now we are getting word from WMPU that Samsung is also working on it’s next set of Windows Phones and one of them will be a clone of their beautifully famous Galaxy S II.

Mockup

Check out the specs:

  • 8.5mm thick
  • dual core processor
  • 1 GB of RAM
  • 16 or 32 GB of flash storage
  • 4.3 inch Super-AMOLED screen
  • 8 megapixel camera with LED Flash
  • 2 megapixel front facing camera and DLNA

If this is true it would be great not only because it is good looking phone with pretty nice specs but also for sales. The Samsung Galaxy series is very popular and customers might be more willing to give Windows Phone a try.
