Homebrew: Screen Capture

June 14, 2011 2 Comments

I am hoping that one of the new Mango features is screen capture. Not only will this help Windows Phone users to easily send issues to Windows Support or just show off their new applications/ Creations but it will definitely help out us bloggers to show off some sweet applications.

XDA user fiinix has developed a homebrew solution to capture screen shots directly from the device.
The dehydration hack is needed before you can begin to follow these simple instructions:

Directions:

– Enter this app- Navigate to the app you want to capture (no more than 2 apps in between (this app will be killed by “Watchdog”))

– Hold “focus” (not click, >focus), for at least 500ms

– Wait for messagebox to verify capture

– (SUCCESS) > Located under “Pictures > All > Saved Pictures”

Download the app and read all the info at XDA.
