Windows Phone 7 is Second Among Platforms Devs Plan to Use

June 9, 2011 No Comments

The Windows Phone 7 Marketplace has grown at a fast pace and having seen the newest VisionMobile research report I can assume that it will continue to do so. VisionMobile published a report based entirely on the developers mindset.

There is a lot of interesting information included in this report but the main point of interest for WP7 supporters is that Windows Phone 7 is number two in platforms that developers intend to develop for.

Many developers have praised the Microsoft developer tools for Windows Phone 7 and we all know that Microsoft is jumping through hoops trying to get developers to support their OS. All of that in conjunction with the Nokia deal that is expected to boost sales of the platform equals more developer support. So it looks like their plan is working.

While the Marketplace has experienced tremendous growth, I am very curious to see what numbers it will produce by Q42011.
