Windows Phone 7 App Challenge for WPC 2011

The WP7 App challenge is here for developers from Microsoft. It is called the WP7 App Challenge and it includes a really cool and expensive prize package. Not only that but it will definitely jump start your app and get it tons of publicity.

Welcome to the Windows Phone 7 App Challenge for WPC 2011! You can participate by developing an application, evaluating and scoring applications, or both. The terms and conditions provide information about the types of applications you can enter, as well as the contest information and dates.

Important Dates

Begin:March 25, 2011
End:June 6, 2011
Final judging:July 10-14, 2011

For your entry to be valid, your application must meet Microsoft’s requirements for applications and be accepted by Microsoft.

The application also must be available for download on Marketplace by June 6, 2011.

Ten (10) Grand Prizes. Each winning application will be awarded the following prize package:

  • Admission for each team member to the Worldwide Partner Conference July 10-14 to showcase their application. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) US $ 1,995 each.

Limit one (1) prize package per team.  Individuals are not eligible to win multiple grand prizes. All other travel related expenses, including but not limited to, airfare/transportation, hotel, meals, and miscellaneous expenses are the sole responsibility of the winner. Details of application presentations will be provided closer to the event.
