British Airways 3D App on WP7 Mango Looks Amazing (Video)

May 25, 2011 No Comments

One app that was shown off yesterday at the Mango event that was a huge hit was the British Airways app that was packed with 3D rendering that looked amazing.

“Microsoft senior product manager Derek Snyder demonstrated in the video below an app that British Airways built using the 3-D technology. Developers can choose to use the 3-D graphics for games in Xbox Live or 2-D graphics in Microsoft’s Silverlight animation software.

In this demo app, you take a virtual walk-through of the plane to select a seat. The application also allows you to pin a QR code, similar to a bar code, for a boarding pass to the phone’s home screen”

With the ability to roam through the aisles of the plane and actually pick your seat. Check out the clip and let us know what you think.

This app alone will make me fly British Airways.
