No Sony Ericsson Windows Phone 7…..For Now

May 13, 2011 No Comments

At Sony Ericsson’s annual Business Innovations Forum, Jan Uddenfeldt, chief technology officer and head of Sony Ericsson Silicon Valley stated that Sony Ericsson “won’t be making any products if the operating system doesn’t take off”.

I don’t know many people who were waiting for Sony Ericsson to come out with a Windows Phone 7 to begin with. Sony Ericsson waiting for Windows Phone 7 to “take off” could end up burning them in the end. Waiting could end up being riskier, as consumers will become more familiar with current OEM devices as WP7’s and automatically turn to them. Also,  Windows Phone 7 has a good amount OEM’s already, especially come the end of the year when they add Nokia to the arsenal.

Would any of you be interested in a Sony Ericsson WP7?
