False Alarm: Looks Like Forced NoDo Still Updates (update)

May 4, 2011 No Comments

Looks like Microsoft’s warning about our beloved Windows Phones not being able to update in the future if you forced the NoDo (March update) with Chris Walsh’s Method was unnecessary.

With the new security update making it’s rounds. We now realize that users that forced the update using the Walsh’s method can still update their phones the normal way. We were warned by Microsoft that forcing the update on your phone will most likely cause your device to not be able to update in the future. I am glad that Chris can now have peace of mind knowing that now he is in the clear.

Update: Looks like there are some handsets having issues updating with the forced update after all. Through Twitter though Chris says he will have a solution for everyone having an issue
