Game Review: Shuriken Ninja

April 26, 2011 No Comments

Shuriken Ninja is a nice, free game where you play as the ninja and your goal is to throw your Shuriken at the targets placed throughout the level. Of course each level is different, some are comprised solely of metal which causes the shuriken to bounce off the metal causing crazy ricochets, others have a combination of wood and metal. When the shuriken hits the wood it automatically gets stuck inside of it. Using the elements placed around the board it is your duty to figure out how to throw your shuriken at the right angle in order to hit the targets.

I have played Shuriken Ninja now for about a week and I can honestly say that I, personally have not encountered any problems with the game. It responds well to touch. I have had no issues with loading though some have reported crashing when it loads.

Shuriken Ninja is an all around fun game. It requires thinking before you act. The levels get progressively harder. In fact I have been on the same level for two days, but the fact that I find the game enjoyable will keep me going back and retrying to pass it.

There are two things that I think could be done to improve Shuriken Ninja

  • The ads take up a decent portion of the screen, I know many people have unintentionally clicked on the ads only to have to restart the board they were already in the process of completing. It would be nice if they would make a paid version for those people who would rather play without the ads on the screen,
  • This game is simple and fun, it would be nice to have some more levels added to it.

Overall Shuriken Ninja could teach a lot of developers a thing or two. It plays great and is a lot of fun as well. You can’t ask for more than that from any game, paid or free.
