9 New Windows Phone 7 Might be Available by Years’ End

April 25, 2011 No Comments

Microsoft hasn’t been releasing nearly enough Windows Phone 7 devices as they probably should. So far there are only a handful of devices available for consumers. If Dan Novak, Qualcomm’s vice-president of global marketing is correct then we could be looking at 9 new Windows Phone 7 devices by the end of the year. While talking to BizIt, Novak may have let it slip just how many handets Windows Phone 7 will be released later this year.

“We’ve launched five times as many Android devices as our next competitor,’ he said, adding that the upcoming nine Windows Phone 7 devices will also be based on Snapdragon”

I am well aware that 9 devices is hardly a staggering number, but don’t forget about our not so secret weapon….Nokia. Nokia is expected to release handsets beginning later this year thru early 2012 ( and beyond) . So while 9 by the end of the year isn’t anything to celebrate, the fact that it may be getting to the point where there is a continuous stream of new WP7 phones is.
