Microsoft Working on Parental Controls For WP7
April 14, 2011 No CommentsFor as many awesome games and apps that already exist on WP7. There is surely a lack of Adult games (Rated M for Mature). Not too much violence going on and apps have actually have gotten pulled for being to Violent or ‘Naughty’.
Take a look at Twin Blades which was even an Xbox Live game that got pulled months after its release for being to bloody. Even more recently, The ImageWind app was pulled for being to racy. Since it delivered unfiltered images via twitter at random.
Now it looks like Microsoft is taking the first step to allow apps and games like that to make it (and stay) on the marketplace. They are working on parental controls for Windows Phone 7 with the Mango update later this year, which I think is the best and simplest way to get this done. Especially with their track record since the parental controls on the Xbox 360 are second to none.
