Microsoft Working on Marketplace Expansion

April 13, 2011 No Comments

One of Microsofts’ main focuses on Windows Phone 7 has been applications. They have worked hard to develop the Marketplace in order to make it a viable competitor with other OS’s. Unfortunately many countries have been unable to access the Marketplace because it was not yet available to certain countries. At Mix11 Joe Belfiore announced that along with the Mango update this fall WP7 will support sixteen new languages as well as expand the Marketplace from being available in 16 countries to being available in 35.

Developers rejoice because this could give a whole new life to those apps as well as fuel the need to develop new apps.
