Microsoft Hosting Another App Contest

March 29, 2011 No Comments

It is no secret that Microsoft is doing everything in their power to get developers on board with WP7 in order to build the Marketplace. We know that they have personally recruited a few and that they are doing whatever they can to entice devs over to WP7. They have offered a rebate of $99 for devs who get two apps into the Marketplace by April, in the UK they are hosting a reward program with a weekly giveaway, of course there’s the CTIA fast pitch contest and now there is a new one to add to that list.

Microsoft is now doing a contest where you submit your app and they will choose the best ten apps based on their judging criteria and those winners will win addmission to the Worldwide Partner Conference to showcase their application. This prize is valued at $1,995. The contest began on March 25, 2011 and entries must have passed the Windows 7 application certification by june 6. 2011. The final judgeing will take place July 10-14, 2011. Just think what this could do for the ten lucky winners. Good luck to those who choose to participate. For more details see contest page.
