Nokia Won’t Be Making Any Symbian CDMA Devices

March 23, 2011 No Comments

Nokia doesn’t make phones for CDMA carriers, they are strictly GSM. Verizon and Sprint customers will finally see Nokia devices on their networks but they will have to wait until the Nokia Windows Phone 7’s. Stephen Elop announced at the Mobile World Congress that Nokia would manufacture CDMA devices however it was not specified that they would be available. Now Nokia has made it abundantly clear that they have no intentions of releasing a CDMA phones running the Nokia Symbian OS. So there ya have it, Sprint and Verizon customers wanting a Nokia device simply have to wait until early 2010, however being that those will be the first CDMA phones for Nokia I think Nokia is going to come out with guns blazing.
