Paid Apps Can Only be Downloaded Five Times?

An answer to a question asked on Microsoft Answers French forums is leaving us all a little confused today. Microsoft Support had this answer to a question asked on the forum:

Did you authorize the cookies and hides on your telephone (Parameters <Applications <Internet explorer) and obliterated your historic one?  You can equally try to deinstall then to resettle these applications (you can install an application 5 before being times again debited).  You can equally contact the developers of these applications to see if they have a solution to propose you for this problem seems to return uniformly notably with GameChest.  In last recourse can contact you the support by telephone for a reimbursement but they will not accept probably if you meet this problem with of too numerous games.  Thank you for your post.

Only five downloads for an app already paid for? This doesn’t seem right. In fact I am thinking that perhaps Microsoft support was a little confused. We, here at WP7connect have a theory that they may have gotten confused with the 5 app dowload limit when downloading the same app to multiple devices. With all the criticism that this has sparked I am sure we will be getting a definitive answer soon.
