WP7 Implementing Deal of The Week

If you have Xbox Live on your Xbox 360 then you know that they have a Deal of The Week section, where they usually feature an arcade game or some type of game add-on and lower the price of it for the week. Microsoft has decided to implement the same thing for WP7 users’. Each week Microsoft will choose a game that they feel needs a little promotion to help sales and they will reduce the price. Frogger, got the Deal of The Week treatment this week when they dropped the price from $2.99 to a much better price of $1.99. While the prices for the Xbox Live games on WP7 are somewhat high lets hope that with continuous development for the platform we will begin seeing the prices of our apps lower significantly. That way Deal of the Week will indeed feel like a deal. Until then we have to make sure to snatch up the games we really want when they are featured as a DOTW.
