Microsoft Tags to be used in USA Today

February 14, 2011 No Comments

In an effort to advance the world into the next era USA Today has announced that it will implement Microsoft Tags into its' daily newspaper. Readers' of the paper will be able to scan the tag which will give them access to online content, sports scores, photo galleries and video features.

I know that there are going to be lots of people who will hate this concept. I, for one think it's great. As the reader you will not only get your newspaper but you will be receiving extras. Not only that but  really this could help reduce the amount of paper that we are constantly wasting. If they can implement this and make it so that they are printing less on paper and delivering a decent amount of the content through your phone, not only are they giving you the convenience of the morning paper on your phone but it's a way to make newspapers a little more green.
