Game Review: Bubble Birds

I'm not sure what about Bubble Birds has me hooked. It's a relatively simple game where the goal is to connect 3 or more birds of the same color to make them burst. I have been playing this game for the last couple of days and I can't seem to put it down. It is a very addictive game that you can pick up and play while waiting for the bus/ train or waiting on line. It has a great pick up and go feel to it. Start-up is very quick and it automatically saves your progress while your not playing.

The graphics are also pretty simple but well done. The game mechanics are dead on. This is especially important since you can bounce the birds off the wall to get them pass certain obstacles.

There's also a few small details about this game that make it very likable. The birds blink and make small movements. Another thing is that depending on their color, they have different facial expressions.

The only misstep that I see with this game is that when you go on to the "next level". It looks and feels like exactly the same level as you were on before. Nothing changes except the 'level' number. If maybe things got harder or more colors were introduced, this game would get 5 stars. Since it does have the ingredients to get quite repetitive.

In a nutshell, this game is great and should be installed on every WP7 device. Best of all it has the best price tag…. FREE
