Rumor: Huge update dated for fall codenamed “Mango”

December 15, 2010 No Comments

A huge rumor started making its rounds earlier today. Word is spreading that a huge update is coming to Windows Phone 7 later this year codenamed “Mango”. Unlike the 2 small updates coming to us in January and February. Mango is supposed to be a big update which brings us featureslike HTML5 & Silverlight (Silverlight already is the main development platform for Windows Phone 7 devices, but there is no Silverlight browser plug-in yet). The update Mango is getting measured  up as an update which will make the OS feel as if we were using a WP7.5 device. I am very excited to hear news regarding updates as it reassures me that Microsoft is fully invested in their mobile platform.

The rumor also suggests that Windows Phone 8 will be released late 2012.
